Privacy Policy

Overview

Polisphere is designed to be stateless and anonymous. We do not require user accounts, and we do not track individual users across sessions.

Data We Collect

We collect minimal data necessary to operate the service:

  • IP addresses — used temporarily for rate limiting to prevent abuse. IP-based rate limit records are automatically purged after the sliding window expires.
  • Search queries— questions submitted to the “Ask” feature may be cached (without any user identifiers) to improve response times. Cached entries expire automatically.
  • Server logs — standard HTTP request logs (timestamps, paths, status codes) are retained for operational monitoring and automatically rotated.

Data We Do Not Collect

  • No personal accounts, names, or email addresses
  • No cookies for tracking or advertising
  • No third-party analytics or advertising trackers
  • No location data beyond what you voluntarily search for

Third-Party Services

The “Ask” feature sends your question and relevant area data to Google Gemini for processing. Google's use of this data is governed by their own privacy policy. No personal identifiers are included in these requests.

Hosting

Polisphere is hosted on Google Cloud Platform (europe-west2 region, London). Infrastructure access is restricted to authorised service accounts with least-privilege permissions.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page.
